Happy New Year!

Hope everyone had a super holiday! I ended 2005 having lunch with former sixties starlet Gail Gerber high up at the Cloisters in upper Manhattan. It was a dreary day, weather-wise, but Gail kept me highly entertained. Gail was spending her New Year's Eve with pals Rip Torn and Lee Grant. Who would of thunck that the star of Beach Ball and Village of the Giants would have such esteemed friends? Groovy man!

Sounds like a fun time had by all. Ya gotta 'Dig that Nitty-Gritty!' Btw, is there any word when Ms. Gerber will finish her memoirs?

P.S. I ordered a copy of 'Hollywood Surf & Beach Movies,' looking forward to reading up some more on the girls.

Thanks for the message and especially for buying a copy of my book. Hope you enjoy it.

Gail took a break from her memoirs. She needs to find her voice and the style she wants to present it. Hopefully now that she has settled down in NYC she will be able to devote the time to it. She will also be doing an oral history of her life with Terry Southern for The New York Public Library.

Thanks again for the interest,
Tom
